In short, I expected better from Vishal Bharadwaj. I did not read the book before watching this movie, yet parts of it were quite predictable. The primary condition of creating a spy movie is to add twists and turns to the plot. Khufiya has very minor twists, and that is through the camerawork. The plotline was as straight as a nose.

However, I would give credit where it is due. The background score and the dialogue are quite good. The acting is good, too, with credible performances from Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, and Ali Fazal. The character of the grandma is quite entertaining, too, in spite of being predictable.
